I know that my user name is Orville Maxis, but this is my user name from before I changed my scions class to Grammaton Cleric. So, whatever.
Luo Zhen grew up in the Sichuan province of China. His whole family was killed in his last year of high school. He was on a field trip to Beijing and was actually on one of the first buses to come back to his little town that was destroyed. A huge crack in the earth had formed, swallowing half his village. Due to his high marks in school and having no parental guardians the Chinese Secret Service, the Tewu, took him and placed him in a rigorous program to make him a Grammaton Cleric: a killer of sorts. A few of his school mates were also taken including his best friend of many years. Luo Zhen was given one instructor and he assumed that all of his class mates were given one as well. They spoke in many languages, Chinese(Cantonese and Mandarin), Japanese, Korean, English and Indian. His training would test his mind as well as his body.
Luo Zhen and his instructor, Taichi Ci stayed together for many months. Luo Zhen was honed into a killer. A silent assassin that learned the art of Gun Kata. A martial arts that specialized in predicting the enemies movement during a gun fight as well as wielding pistols as clubs in close quarters combat. He was also trained to be silent, to be resourceful, and most importantly, how to read people like a book. He could tell what exactly his enemy was thinking. Luo Zhen was also trained to be emotionless, and near the end of his training he was given supplements to ensure his emotionless state.
Once Taichi Ci deemed Luo Zhen fit after two years of training. His first assignment was to kill a prominent Tibetan guru. A retaliation of sorts because of the Tibetan protesters actions during the Olympic games. He traveled over the Himalayas into India, another test, and reached the Indian deserts where he would find the guru. He failed when the guru revealed himself to be a Demi-God and took the cleric to the ground. The guru damaged Luo Zhen to the point of death. When he realized that he was taking supplements to destroy his emotions he spared his life. The guru disarmed the cleric and locked him away until his feelings would come back.
When the feelings came back he was awe struck and reclusive. The guru decided to teach the cleric the ways of the monk and Luo Zhen was humbled by the teachings that would come from somebody so wise and powerful. The guru did his best to repair what was broken by the drug that numbed his emotions but the damage was done, he would never know how to deal with his emotions, he was snatched up by the Tewu when he was still an adolescent and was at the time still learning how to deal with his emotions, perhaps he can learn, in time.
One of the first lessons from the guru was that of the ancient Chinese deities. Luo Zhen was entirely skeptical of this but then the guru demonstrated his powers in front of the cleric and then Luo Zhen decided to become entirely learned in the Mandate of Heaven. The guru watched the cleric practice his skills and mentioned that Luo Zhen must be a scion as well. At that, a scion of the god Houxi. Luo Zhen only wondered what this would mean about his parents, as he grew up with both a male and female adult figures. The story of how he came to be, and who his human parent was, he may never know, for as far as he knows his whole family was destroyed in the earthquake. He decided that it must have been the gods will that his class went to Beijing.
Another early lesson the guru gave to Luo Zhen was that of the pantheons, and how they are warring the Titans. The Titans had escaped their bondage and were now threatening the gods.
Houxi feels threatened by the Titans and wants to end the conflict as soon as possible, so he sired as many children as possible. It was coincidentally Luo Zhen's village that was struck, which Houxi most frequented. Upon reaching adulthood, the parents of Houxi's children were to tell his scions the story. The guru knew this because this was a common thing for the Mandate of Heaven's gods to do(COMPLETELY MADE UP but I think it sounds cool). Luo Zhen now felt that his life was never under his control. He felt as if he were a sort of pawn in a large battle with no direction.
Luo Zhen was then in India for the time being. Because of the attempt on his life, the guru defied the Chinese government by having their own assassin travel with him. The Chinese would then over the next few months sent various teams of assassins against the two who would then be easily dispatched. This was an excellent time for Luo Zhen to keep his Gun Kata skills in action, as any skill not used would be lost over time. Luo Zhen actually forgot Japanese and Korean in this time, but he felt confident that if he was in front of any speakers that the language would return.
The last attempt on the guru however, would leave him mortally wounded, and Luo Zhen would be alone. He decided that he would make his way to Hyderabad and leave on the first ship he could find. He brooded over his native China, and whether or not it was enough that the guru was killed and not him. Only time will tell.
-How does my character act day to day.
Luo Zhen behaves on the outside like any normal person does. But on the inside, because of his brain damage, he is distraught with feelings. He doesn't know how to control them, and they sometimes overwhelm him. So he may lash out sometimes, or he may just stay silent. His former guru taught him to always speak his mind, as to try and explain his feelings. So that maybe others can help him understand why it is he's feeling what he is feeling. Because of the training from the guru he is usually okay, but sometimes a scenic view, a sunny day, a homeless person, a young animal, these things will make Luo Zhen feel the same thing as anyone else but in a way that is alien to him.
